WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOUR MATERIAL ARRIVES
Understanding what your delivery will look like helps ensure a smooth and stress-free experience. These notes reflect real-world conditions shown in our gallery photos.
1. Material May Arrive Dusty, Damp, or Compacted
All bulk materials—gravel, sand, DG, topsoil, mulch—naturally settle during transport.
It’s normal for loads to arrive:
-
Dusty (especially gravel & decorative rock)
-
Damp (depending on weather or watering at supplier)
-
Slightly compacted from truck weight
A quick rinse or light raking restores the material to its natural color and texture.
2. Pile Size Depends on Material Type
Different materials stack differently. For example:
-
Mulch creates lighter, fluffier piles
-
Gravel & rock form tighter, more compact piles
-
Soils & compost settle lower but spread easily
-
Sand forms flatter, wider mounds
What you see in our gallery photos is the true shape and footprint of real deliveries.
3. Colors Vary With Lighting & Quarry Source
Natural materials are not manufactured. Color tones may change based on:
-
Quarry location
-
Moisture level
-
Sunlight vs shade
-
Time of year
-
Rock depth within the pile
The gallery helps you preview those natural variations.
4. Drop Spot Must Be Safe, Flat & Accessible
For safety reasons:
-
The area must support the truck’s weight
-
Slopes, soft ground, or obstacles may require alternate drop spots
-
The driver has full authority to refuse unsafe dump locations
-
We cannot drive over soft lawns, irrigation, or septic areas
This ensures a safe delivery for both your property and our equipment.
5. Expect a Single Large Pile (Not Spread Out)
Our deliveries are dump-only. Drivers do not:
-
Spread materials
-
Drive back-and-forth to distribute
-
Wheelbarrow materials
The load is dropped in one centralized pile for you or your contractor to spread.
6. You’ll Receive a Delivery Close to What You See in Our Gallery
The photos included on this page come directly from:
-
Similar truck type
-
Various material suppliers
-
Same delivery procedures
What you see is exactly the type of delivery experience you can expect.
